TRIFORCE® and distributing partner BPI will be holding a conference about engineered lumber products during the Johnson County Contractor Licensing Fall Seminar on Tuesday, Oct. 30 2018.
This session will discuss new engineered lumber products and discuss how open joists meet the fire code for residential construction. Code discussion from 2015 IRC section R302.13 Fire Performance for unfinished ceiling will be a key area of discussion. Other topics include discussion on the Uniform ES Accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) groups. The session will conclude with discussions on the common uses and techniques of Engineered LVL and I-Joists.
The Contractor Licensing program aims at fostering highest standards of integrity, skill and trade practice in the construction industry. The fall seminar is part of the construction-related continuing education seminars for licensed contractors, trade practitioners and building inspection professionals.
