Today, the Open Joist TRIFORCE is a state of the art flooring solution. It didn’t happen overnight though, but rather gradually, over the course of 25 years of TRIFORCE expertise. It’s the result of years of experience and continuous improvement to better meet the expectations of architects, contractors, engineers and the construction industry in general.
At first, there was the Open Joist 2000, which was designed and developed in the 1980s. This ancestor of the TRIFORCE was an open floor joist made with wood only, and capable of carrying heavy loads. Its advantage was that it used a lot less wood than conventional solid wood joists, thanks to triangulation.
The main idea, with the Open Joist 2000 and then the Open Joist TRIFORCE, was to create a synthesis of the features and advantages of all types of joists combined. The TRIFORCE achieved this and we’re really proud of the result. We pushed the limits of the Open Joist 2000 to create the first and only adjustable floor open joist, made entirely of wood and assembled without a single metal connector.
The Open Joist TRIFORCE offers more flexibility as it provides an adjustable end of up to 24 inches in OSB panels of structural quality. Better flexibility means a better fit on your sites, and ultimately significant savings.
Our goal is to provide a flawless flooring solution that will meet the high expectations of the industry. Assembled in an automated factory with unmatched precision, the Open Joist TRIFORCE is the result of years of experience, innovation and performance with people in the industry.
So to make a long story short, it didn’t happen overnight, and we hope it’s only the beginning!
